OverDrive for Sony Reader Wi-Fi

sonyOverview

The Sony Reader Wi-Fi is a black and white e-reader, and its main function is reading e-books.  However, this device does have a basic web browser and the ability to play sound files that are uploaded manually.  This year, Sony stopped making their e-reader line.  Existing Sony Reader users were transferred to Kobo, another e-reader company with an independent e-book store.  One nice feature with the Sony Reader is the fact that a user does not need to use the Adobe Digital Editions software as a middleman.  There is an integrated “Public Library” button that acts similar to having the OverDrive Media Console on a tablet.  If you find searching for books cumbersome on the limited web browser, you can browse and check out books on a computer, and then login to your account from the Reader to download the book.

[ed. 12/21/15 – Sony ceased production of their readers years ago, so this page will no longer be updated.]
